Εντυπωσιακή 78η Διοργάνωση του Φεστιβάλ Καννών

Η 78η έκδοση του Φεστιβάλ Καννών αναμένεται να είναι συναρπαστική, με σημαντικές κινηματογραφικές πρεμιέρες που θα ενθουσιάσουν το κοινό και τους κριτικούς. Ανάμεσα στις πιο αναμενόμενες ταινίες περιλαμβάνονται το “The Phoenician Scheme” από τον Wes Anderson, το “Nouvelle Vague” του Richard Linklater και το “Eddington” του Ari Aster, όλα έτοιμα για την παγκόσμια πρεμιέρα τους στο φεστιβάλ.

Διαγωνιστική Ενότητα με Μεγάλους Δημιουργούς

Το διαγωνιστικό τμήμα της φετινής διοργάνωσης φιλοξενεί σπουδαία ονόματα:

• Η Kelly Reichardt επιστρέφει με την ταινία The Mastermind, ένα δράμα γύρω από ληστείες έργων τέχνης κατά τη διάρκεια του Πολέμου του Βιετνάμ, με πρωταγωνιστές τους josh O’Connor και John Magaro.
• Ο Joachim Trier, μετά την επιτυχία της ταινίας The Worst Person in the World, παρουσιάζει το Sentimental Value με τη Renate Reinsve.
• Ο Ιρανός σκηνοθέτης jafar Panahi επιστρέφει στις Κάννες με την ταινία A Simple Accident.
• Οι Αδελφοί Νταρντέν, διπλοί νικητές Χρυσού Φοίνικα, προβάλλουν τη νέα τους δουλειά The Young Mother’s Home.

The American distributor Neon has two films in this year’s lineup: Alpha and Sentimental Value.

Astral Return of Tom Cruise and Record Participation

The official confirmation that Tom Cruise will return to Cannes for the world premiere of “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,” which will be screened out of competition shortly before its global release on May 23rd. Frémaux revealed that this year the festival received and evaluated a record number of 2,909 films. Last year’s festival confirmed Cannes’ dominance in global cinema: the films from 2024 garnered 31 Oscar nominations and won nine awards; Sean Baker’s Anora took home the Golden Palm and even reached for Best Picture at the Oscars.

• The musical documentary Bono: Stories of Surrender by andrew Dominik
