Αναμένονται δραστικές αλλαγές στον καιρό

Ο μετεωρολόγος Γιώργος Τσατραφύλλιας προειδοποίησε για την έλευση ενός πολικού «αεροχείμαρρου» που θα προκαλέσει πτώση της θερμοκρασίας κατά περισσότερους από 10 βαθμούς. Σε ανάρτησή του την Τετάρτη (07/05), ανέφερε ότι από το βράδυ του Σαββάτου, αυτός ο αέρας θα απομακρύνει την αφρικανική σκόνη και θα φέρει ψυχρότερα ρεύματα στην περιοχή μας.

Συγκεκριμένα, ο μετεωρολόγος σημείωσε:
«”O πολικός αεροχείμαρρος διώχνει την αφρικάνικη ζέστη και σκόνη και ρίχνει πάνω από 10 βαθμούς τη θερμοκρασία…” Καλό μεσημέρι! Αυτή τη στιγμή παρατηρείται έντονη μεταφορά σκόνης και ζέστης από την Αφρική, η οποία αναμένεται να κορυφωθεί το Σάββατο.

Η θερμοκρασία στην ηπειρωτική Ελλάδα αναμένεται να φτάσει τα 30°C μέχρι την Παρασκευή, ενώ στην Κρήτη οι άνεμοι ενδέχεται να ανεβάσουν τον υδράργυρο πάνω από τους 35°C! Το φαινόμενο της σκόνης θα είναι επίσης έντονο τις επόμενες ημέρες κυρίως στη νότια Ελλάδα. Από το βράδυ του Σαββάτου, ο πολικός αεροχείμαρρος (polar jet stream) θα αρχίσει να εισάγει κρύο αέρα στην περιοχή μας, οδηγώντας σε σταδιακή απομάκρυση της ζέστης και της σκόνης. Η πτώση της θερμοκρασίας αναμένεται σημαντική για την επόμενη εβδομάδα.

Γενικά Χαρακτηριστικά:

• Τοπικές βροχές πιθανόν στα ορεινά τμήματα Μακεδονίας, Θράκης και ίσως Ηπείρου κατά τις απογευματινές ώρες.
• Aραίοι νεφελώδεις ουρανοί στις υπόλοιπες περιοχές με πυκνότερες συνθήκες το πρωί σε Κρήτη και Δωδεκάνησα.
• The weather conditions favor the transfer of African dust mainly in the Cyclades and Crete.

Άνεμοι:

• Dysfunctional winds blowing from the west at speeds of about 3 to 4 Beaufort and from southern directions at speeds of about 3 to 5 Beaufort in eastern regions.

Θερμοκρασία:

• The temperature will remain high for this time of year reaching up to around 28 degrees Celsius in most areas and locally higher values in northern Crete up to around 31 degrees Celsius.

A few clouds are expected initially over the Ionian Sea and gradually spreading across other parts of the country with local showers or thunderstorms likely after noon especially in mountainous areas. The weather will be unstable especially in Macedonia and Thrace with possible strong storms during midday hours on Saturday.winds will shift predominantly towards northern directions with increased intensity throughout these days while temperatures may slightly drop but still remain above seasonal averages across many regions including Crete where they could reach up to around mid-thirties celsius levels before stabilizing again by Sunday evening into Monday morning as cooler air masses start dominating our region once more leading into a more typical spring-like pattern thereafter!

The forecast indicates that there will be increased cloudiness along with local rain showers primarily affecting eastern Macedonia & Thrace while remaining mostly clear elsewhere until afternoon when conditions begin changing rapidly leading towards potential precipitation events occurring later on during both days ahead!
